Rockstar Games released a redesigned version of their game launcher store this past week. The updated frontend for the Rockstar Games Launcher also comes with a new feature that shared a surprising Bully stat.
The storefront has seen some design changes as spotted by @videotech_ on Twitter. It features chips at the top of the page to choose Featured, GTA Collection, Rockstar Classics, Browse All and My Offers. Store pages for each game have also been given a refreshed look.
On the main store page, below main game on display (currently GTA V) there is now a “Most Popular” carousel. Since its introduction, GTA V has been first followed by the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition (surprisingly), Red Dead Redemption 2 and a pleasant surprise of Bully closing out the first page.
It’s great to see the game is still selling well. That puts it ahead of Max Payne 3, GTA IV and L.A. Noire. Bully is also at the top of the Rockstar Classics page if you click on the chip.
Fans took to social media to point out that despite how old the game is, there is a desire to purchase the game and perhaps even a sequel. There has been a growing sentiment online over the past few years that Bully is a well-liked game and Bully 2 is wanted.
There have been plenty of rumours about how it was due to be revealed not too long ago but the game has been shelved as GTA VI production took over.
In other Bully news, the game will be joining GTA+ at some point this year according to Rockstar. Plus, the game’s soundtrack returned to Spotify earlier this year. It was removed several years ago but fans can now stream the score from the game wherever they are. Learn more here.
Did Rockstar update the launcher to prep for something?
Back in May, Rockstar Games accidentally leaked Red Dead Redemption would be coming to PC at some point. We later learned from Rockstar insider Tez2 that this leak “was likely a result of whatever Rockstar is preparing for the launcher with the new branch.” It is possible this new Rockstar Games Launcher we just got is the start of the new branch. Then Red Dead Redemption will follow in the coming months.
