EXCLUSIVE: Rockstar Games Team Up With Modders To Create FiveM Content

Exclusive: Rockstar Games have been backing community made projects to be used in FiveM servers.

Based on information provided to FiveM content creators, Rockstar Games and Cfx.re are trying to bring more “Non-GTA RP” projects into the forefront of FiveM. Whilst most people associate FiveM with GTA RP, there is actually a lot of servers and content that is not designed around that type. Plus, not everyone wants to roleplay.

The goal seems to be to have more “pick up and go” game modes as options available to server owners. This would allow them to use them at a foundational level and then build on top of them however they like. This will allow for more variety and quick integration.

Rockstar-Backed Modifications Are Here

One example we’ve been provided with is the “StreetKings Framework”. It is a complete progression-driven experience inspired by classics such as Rockstar Games’ very own Midnight Club and the “Golden-Age of Racing Games”. The goal is simple: your car becomes your identity and every achievement is earned through gameplay.

StreetKings contains fully custom cinematic racing cameras, complete controller support, dynamic police encounters, global leaderboards, discoverable events and a custom phone system. The script has been designed from the ground up to deliver a fast-paced arcade racing experience unlike anything else currently available on FiveM. There’s also upgrades, achievements, various types of racing events, tuning shops and more.

It was created by FiveM modders Envi-Scripts and 919Design. Both of these have been creating their own FiveM content for a few years now. The pair have spent the past few months crafting the StreetKings Framework. They were later able to pitch this to Rockstar/Cfx.re and received a very positive response.

Rockstar Games backed the development and have since added it as an official txAdmin Recipe. It is now live in FiveM’s “Popular Recipes” section. You can check out how to install the StreetKings txAdmin Recipe here.

The team behind FiveM also wanted to provide the duo with the opportunity to use the “StreetKings Framework” base to create the StreetKings: Official Server. It has also been added to the “Featured Servers” list on the FiveM Homepage. You can also check out the Street Kings launch trailer below:
