After many, many months of waiting FiveM for GTA V Enhanced finally has a release date and it’s very soon. The Cfx.re team published a blog post on Wednesday giving a highly anticipated update on the project. First announced well over a year ago, the team has been quite low key on the new version which has led to frustration among fans. Now that is all going to go away.
In the latest development update, the team talk about how they are improving FiveM in many ways. This ranges from networking, scripting runtimes, server-side performance, developer tools, and more.
Firstly, let’s take a look at the new installer. This updated installation process lets users have more control over where to install FiveM. This includes the option to select a separate folder or drive for cached server files and create Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts during setup. Additionally, the installer will support uninstalling and repairing your current installation. You can see screenshots below.
FiveM for GTAV Enhanced also makes tweaks to its Resource Cache Management. The client now automatically removes cached files that servers no longer serve. Cfx.re say they do plan on publishing further improvements such as automatic cleanup of cache from servers you haven’t visited in a while and a cache management view in the game client settings. FiveM For GTAV Enhanced Release Date
At the very bottom of the blog post, Cfx.re reveal the release date. They were “excited” to share that FiveM for GTAV Enhanced will release Tuesday July 21st 2026. This will be an early access-branded launch. This is due to issues that may arise. The group note that they’re looking forward to “working closely with the community to improve the platform.”
