We are aware of surrounding reports that Rockstar Games could be dealing with a major hacking problem with Rockstar Games’ Social Club platform, the studio’s platform which hosts GTA Online jobs, companion data for single-player and online titles and Crew groups for GTA Online.
Fresh reports from multiple sources are reporting their GTA Online crews are seemingly disappearing and even crews are getting stolen with leadership privileges from the original owners being taken away.
What’s going on?
On September 25, a week after Rockstar Games suffered from a major data leakage, a GTAFourms user MCbcMC200 made a thread detailing their ongoing situation with their Social Club crew, MC explained their account and crew were compromised and stolen. Shortly after the player contacted Rockstar Support, the support team restored their account but it didn’t last for very long. Their account was once again compromised with the player being notified that 2FA was disabled without the user’s consent.
The person responsible for hacking the platform has the ability to take away account privileges and transfer crews to other players.
This is a major threat to everyone who wans to use Social Club. Security at Rockstar is laughable, not to mention their support. Not to mention the possible user data leaks – including yours.

Today YouTuber GhillieYT, reported their crew was wiped, even 2FA protection hasn’t helped protect GillieYT’s account. It’s starting to become more apparent there’s another large-scale hack ongoing at Rockstar Games with its networking platform. We’re unaware if any personal data has been breached, but it’s very likely the hacker has access to administration settings for every account on the platform.
Until there’s more information from Rockstar Games, we’ll be sure to update everyone across our social media networks.
