Take-Two Interactive’s stock is having a great week on Wall Street thanks to GTA 6. The recent pre-order info has continued to fuel fans and investors alike.
Earlier this week we reported how Take-Two Interactive’s share price at market close on Tuesday was up over 6% following a report the game could sell as much as 45 million . The cover art and pre-order news spiked it by another 5% and it is up by around 5% again today. Investors are feeling really good about GTA VI’s marketing and release with less than half a year to go.
Wall Street investment firm Jefferies has shared its thoughts on the recent news and expectations for next week. The bank is a significant shareholder in Take-Two Interactive. As spotted by Proactive Investors, Jefferies believes the game’s third trailer will release with pre-orders opening on June 25th. Many fans also think we’ll see a new trailer dropped next Thursday too but this is Rockstar, they can do whatever they please.
Jefferies are also leaning into the standard version of the game costing $80. However, $70 is still possible and expects a special edition for $10 more. $100 at this point is said to be “unlikely”.

There is also an expectation the special edition of the game will contain the first information on GTA VI’s online mode and monetisation. It is possible Rockstar does not include anything GTA Online related within these special editions. The multiplayer mode might stay well under wraps until later this summer. Wall Street might be annoyed if GTA VI costs $70 but most people, the ones who don’t have much money right now, will be relieved.
For what it’s worth, some investment companies have been spectacularly wrong when it comes to predicting GTA VI things. There is a lack of understanding from some analysts. Where they tend to focus on Rockstar following trends, they forget Rockstar do their own thing. It won’t be long before we find out how much Grand Theft Auto VI and its various editions will cost.
