GTA Online gets new updates to fix various issues for San Andreas Mercenaries patch

Rockstar Games have released not one but three new background updates for GTA Online. This was in response to a variety of issues included in the new summer update titled GTA Online San Andreas Mercenaries.

This information comes from reliable community insider Tez2 who has shared what these three background updates contained. Some of the fixes were much needed. Community members were particularly having issues with weapon loadouts for the Cayo Perico Heist and the Mobile Operations Center resetting.

    The first update

Here are the changes made in the first update which happened on June 15th.

    • Fixes an issue with the South Central Data Leak where it’s not completed despite passing the mission.
    • Fixes a bug resetting the MOC and the Avenger back to stock options upon customizing.
    • Fixes a bug where you lose the Personal Vehicle stored inside MOC (Might disappear, but will revert back to previous storage)
Cargobob during “LSA Operation #3 – Whistleblower” will now detach any vehicle you accidentally hook into upon hitting the detach button.
    • Previously, the detach button was disabled thus not allowing you to proceed with the operation,
    • Fixes an issue in which delivering the Toreador, during LSA Operation #1 – Direct Action, to LSA Lockup results in infinite loading screen.
      Patches out Auto Shop glitch/bug.

    The double update day

On June 16th, Rockstar released two background updates and here are what was changed:

    • Fixes MOC resetting to stock bug (Game verifies whether MOC slot is gone or not and applies the fix if true)
    • Fixes an issue with the Draugur being stuck inside the Avenger during Reporting for Duty Project Overthrow Mission
    • Fixes a bug with Weapon Loadouts during Cayo Perico Heist
    • Fixes a bug to do with CEO or MC registration text replacing “Press to sit down” text inside Offices or Clubhouses
    • Patches God Mode glitch involving Agency Services
    • Patches a Passive Mode glitch involving hovering over interaction menu
    • Patches Off the Radar glitch with Avenger (Stealth Module) while Auto-Pilot is engaged
    • Xbox only – Party NPCs have been removed during “Nightlife Leak Finale” to most likely resolve an infinite loading screen bug

Whilst Rockstar Games release extensive patch notes for all updates, background updates are not communicated publicly to the wider GTA Online community. Thanks to Tez we can see what improvements have been made into the game following bugs introduced by this summer’s DLC update.

Some other changes made as part of the main update earlier this week were not mentioned in the patch notes. Once again Tez shared details on which they were and you can read about them here.
