The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as a blue Heeler that played the camp dog Cain in Red Dead Redemption 2 has passed away at the age of 13.
His owner, Jason Barnes who was the Assistant Motion Capture Director during Red Dead Redemption 2 development, shared the devastating news on Instagram a few days ago.
A few people commented on the Instagram post with the Mo-Cap of Bill Williamson, known as Steve J Palmer saying I’m so sorry. He’ll be missed. Loved working with both of you.💙💔#outlawsforlife.
Roger Clark, who played Arthur Morgan replied to the post saying Awww, sorry to hear, rest in power Einstein. Alex McKenna who played and voiced Sadie Adler also sent her condolences on the post.
Cain is first introduced into Red Dead Redemption 2 during Chapter 3 at Clemens Point, he was a stray dog that wandered into the camp and was found by Jack Marston.
Dutch allows Jack to keep Cain and make him part of the gang. During Chapter 6, Cain went missing. Never to be seen again, with suspicions leading to Micah Bell having something to do with the disappearance.
