Red Dead Online will be releasing a Standalone edition on December 1st, 2020, and will be 75% off, but only for a limited time.
Rockstar Games have announced that Red Dead Online will be released as a standalone version from next month. It’ll cost $4.99 a 75% reduction of the normal rate. After that, it’ll cost $19.99 for Red Dead Online. This offer will be available from December 1st, until February 15th, 2021.
123GB of Disk Space will be required to download Red Dead Online: Standalone edition and you’ll be able to purchase it on Xbox One, PS4, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games, and Steam. The Xbox and Playstation versions will also be playable on the Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5.
If you’re looking at getting this, we advise you to spend the extra $10-$15 and get the story mode as well, it’ll be worth it.

If I already own it, do I have to re-buy it to access the online portion or am I good to go because I already have it?
