GTA V is going to receive a new update that will introduce AMD’s FSR 4 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) in the future. This will allow for improved visual fidelity when using the upscaler. Since its release, GTA V Enhanced on PC has only supported FSR 3. However, users of Radeon RX 9070 and 9060 Series graphics cards will be pleased to learn an upgrade is coming and it could be in just a matter of weeks.
Spotted by Reddit user aBoyFromTheFuture, AMD confirmed on Thursday in an update to a support article that Rockstar Games will indeed be bringing the latest iteration of FSR to GTA V Enhanced. Over 30 games have were added to the list of FSR 4 supported titles. Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced has been given the “Upcoming” tag. All that is left to do now is for Rockstar to release a patch that includes FSR 4.
Update Release Date?
Rockstar Games confirmed on Wednesday a new GTA Online update was going to release this month. This was expected as Rockstar usually release a new GTA Online DLC in June. The release date for this update is all but confirmed to be Tuesday June 17th.

This is due to the end date of the current Event Week and GTA+ month. Given FSR 4 support was just announced for GTA V Enhanced, it seems plausible it will be part of the big summer update dropping in just over a week.
Whilst FSR 4 will require a more recent AMD Radeon GPU, it is still good to see Rockstar implement it. The visual clarity improvement from FSR 3 to 4 is great. Frame rates will be reduced but given GTA V Enhanced is quite easy to run on modern systems, it should not be an issue.
