GTA Online is going free to play this week only to celebrate the release of The Kortz Center Heist update. Rockstar launched the new DLC into Los Santos on Tuesday and it offers fans a chance to take part in a profitable art robbery, purchase new vehicles and more.
To go with this new update and as we close in on GTA 6, Rockstar are letting everyone play GTA Online for free. In a newswire post, the company say GTA Online can be enjoyed on PlayStation 5 or XBOX Series X|S through Monday July 20th. PC is not included.
On top of that, the requirement for PS Plus or XBOX Game Pass Essential to play online is waived during this duration. This means if you own GTA Online or have GTA+ but don’t have an active PS Plus or XBOX Game Pass Essential membership, you too can play online for free this week.
Typically Rockstar removes the PS Plus requirement for a couple weeks every time there is a new update. Whilst the duration is not as long, XBOX users also get this benefit now as does anyone who does not own the game.
About The Kortz Center Heist
This summer’s GTA Online update is titled The Kortz Center Heist. It’s main attraction is the all-new heist at the aforementioned art gallery. A purchasable art studio, vehicles and much more are also included. You can learn more about what’s included in the update here.
