Exactly 1 year on since NoPixel 5.0 was announced, a big announcement has been made with Rockstar Games. We reported almost exactly a year ago today how nopixel 5.0 was confirmed to be in development with teases of changing the GTA RP space.

All we really knew was this new iteration was being “built from the ground up to push the nopixel experience”. Now we know a few more details on what will be coming.

In a Tweet from the official nopixel account, the team unveil the newly branded GTA RP server. Titled nopixel V, it is said to be the “next evolution” in GTA RP. The biggest news is that Rockstar Games themselves have been working on nopixel. The Tweet states it has been “created in collaboration with Rockstar Games.“

Rockstar themselves Tweeted from their account to confirm it was indeed real. They said “We’re excited to support the nopixel team as they create the future of GTA RP.”

Furthermore, the nopixel team say that this new version is not just part of FiveM but is “coming soon” to more platforms. This includes the Rockstar Games Launcher (which received a bunch of updates recently allowing for rich Discord integration) and other PC platforms. This likely means Steam and the Epic Games Store/Launcher.

The team signed off on the announcement with a thank you to all of the fans that have been part of the server’s journey so far. More details will be revealed at a later date on their website. The Tweet also contained a short video teaser showing several of the prominent streamers/characters in nopixel such as xQc and Valkyrae. It ends by showing off the new nopixel V logo. The V is stylised much like the GTA V one.

Rockstar Games’ partnership with Twitch continues to grow ahead of GTA 6 with new rewards. We’ve seen the two companies collaborate over the years and now fans can once again earn in-game items for GTA Online by simply watching Twitch.

Rockstar have continued to show more love to the GTA RP scene. In fact, this is your last week to earn in-game GTA Online rewards by watching the Marbella 3 event live on Twitch. Learn more here.

This all comes after fans raised concerns about the future of FiveM and GTA RP. Check out that article here.
