Rockstar Games have released a new background update for GTA Online. This was in response to a variety of issues that came as part of the new winter update titled GTA Online Agents of Sabotage.
Background patches that fix issues without the need of downloading an update is a regular occurrence after a new GTA Online update. This tends to happen at least once within days of a new DLC.
Today’s background update information comes from reliable community insider Tez2 who has shared patch notes of the background update. Below are all of the known changes:
- Fixes an issue where the damage reduction from Imani Tech’s Armor Plating upgrade was not properly applied to the Terminus Patrol
- Fixes issues relating to the Terrorbyte being stored between the Nightclub Warehouse and the Darnell Bros Garment Factory
- Fixes an issue that caused the player to be unable to move after taking the easy way out near Vincent’s corona at the Vespucci Police Station
- Fixes an issue that prevented associates from breaking into the Project Breakaway interior during the Project Breakaway File finale
- Fixes an issue where the player would become stuck on the office chair upon launching a Source Vehicle Cargo mission
Whilst Rockstar Games release extensive patch notes for all downloadable updates, as we report here, background updates are not communicated publicly to the wider GTA Online community. Thanks to Tez we can see what improvements have been made into the game following bugs introduced by this winter’s DLC update.
There is a notable omission in this list of the NOOSE Outfit not being added to Heist Challenge participants but don’t worry. Rockstar began sending out the prized award to players yesterday. All eligible participants will have received it within the next 72 hours.

Fix the god mode glitch so it can’t be used any more
I have done all 4 of the jobs in the new Garment Factory…. but it keeps only showing that I’ve only done 2 of them… and give us the Truck that appears outside of the factory during the missions.
