The original Red Dead Redemption game and its Story DLC Undead Nightmare is now available for free if you’re a Grand Theft Auto Plus Subscribers.
Red Dead Redemption, which was released in 2010 can be claimed entirely free from today for players who are subscribed to GTA+ on Xbox Series X/S, and the PlayStation 5.
PlayStation users will receive the Remaster edition of Red Dead Redemption 1 which was released last year and is playable in 4K Resolution & 60FPS on PS5 and PS4 Pro, whilst Xbox Users will receive the original version that was released in 2010. Although on Xbox the original version is upscaled 4K resolution but still runs at 30FPS. The 60FPS mode on PS5/PS4 Pro is something it’s sequel is missing and really adds to the experience.
GTA+ Members will only keep the game for as long as they keep their subscription to Grand Theft Auto +. Once you cancel your subscription you will lose full access to playing Red Dead Redemption & Undead Nightmare.
There is also a discount offer for GTA+ members right now. You can purchase Red Dead Redemption 1 for 20% off, meaning Xbox users can claim the original game for ยฃ19.99 instead of the usual ยฃ24.99 price tag. Whilst all PlayStation users can claim the Remaster version for ยฃ31.99 instead of the usual ยฃ39.99. This PlayStation sale ends at 23:59 BST on April 10th.
Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare is also free on Xbox for GTA+ members, along with it also being discounted to ยฃ5.40 from ยฃ6.75 if you want to keep it for good.
On the Xbox GTA+ Games section, it also lists the War Horse, the Golden Weapon Pack and the Deadly Assassins Outfit as being free for GTA+ members and Discounted by 20% if you want to purchase for good. Normally priced at 65p but now available for 52p.
If you’ve never played Red Dead Redemption or Undead Nightmare, then this is the perfect time to download and try them out, you wont be disappointed. The games still hold up 14 years later.
