LEGO and Epic Games have come together to make a new GTA Online/GTA RP style mode inside of Fortnite before GTA 6 releases called Brick Life. From a GTA 6 inspired promo image to the classic GTA cover art style and GTA Online mechanics, this is going to be huge for Fortnite and GTA fans alike.
It all started a yesterday when the official LEGO Fortnite Twitter account Tweeted “Ah bricks here we go again…” a take on the the classic GTA San Andreas line. It was accompanied by an image that was a LEGO Fortnite version of GTA VI’s artwork of Jason and Lucia. You can see it above at the top of the article.
Then on Monday, Epic and LEGO formally announced LEGO Fornite: Brick Life. LEGO Fortnite is a Minecraft style separate game within Fortnite already and this is yet another experience that can be enjoyed.
All of the news came with a trailer that shows off the new mode in action and what it has on offer. The logo for Brick Life has Brick in a similar font to the iconic Grand Theft Auto logo. The thumbnail used for the trailer has panels in the same style as all GTA games do on their covers. You can see that above.
As for the game itself, 32 players per lobby will be in a city “Brick Bay” with various activities to do. Epic share you’ll be able do normal jobs and spend cash at places like “restaurants, house parties, and rooftop clubs”. Some of the jobs you will be able to do include Courier, Sushi Chef, Academy Professor, Security Officer, Scoundrel, Bobom Milk Tea Bobarista and Fortune Teller.
There’s even the ability to buy your own house or live in an apartment plus “host a band practice down the beach, grab a bite to eat with friends, or race through the streets on hoverboards.”
Of course, it is not GTA without vehicles. You are able to drive cars, motorbikes and more around the map. You can also use text chat to communicate with other players.
LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life will release on Thursday December 12th before even a second GTA 6 trailer arrives. Epic say it will be available on all platforms and regions where Fortnite is supported, with the exception of South Korea.
