GTA San Andreas’ CJ is already playable in the newly released Silent Hill 2 Remake with a mod. It took less than 24 hours before the iconic protagonist could be played as in the new game. This might be a new record time.
It is expected at this point that whenever a new AAA game is released, modders will use the Carl Johnson as an early mesh import test. Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen CJ come to Spider-Man Remastered, Hogwarts Legacy, Resident Evil 4 Remake and more. Though last year saw CJ come to Armored Core 6 in about a day.

Modders SpiritHun imported CJ from GTA San Andreas in less than 24 hours from the release of Konami and Bloober Team’s latest release: Silent Hill 2 (2004). It currently has nearly 1000 downloads.
If you’d like to download and use this mod for yourself, it’s available on NexusMods here. Installing mods for this game is fairly easy with instructions on the mod page itself.

Another recent GTA San Andreas related mod is quite different to the usual CJ mods. A new tool has been created allowing modders to create custom maps in Assassin’s Creed games such as Unity. To test out the tool’s capabilities, GTA San Andreas‘ map has been used a first test. Take a look at it in action here.
