A GTA 6 PC comment from the CEO of PC component and accessory maker Corsair has raised some eyebrows. Fans have wondered when GTA 6 will come to PC every since the game was confirmed to only release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch.
As spotted by reporter Tae Kim, Corsair CEO Andy Paul was quizzed over GTA 6 during the company’s most recent call with investors. They delivered financial results for Q4 2024 and investors had a few questions involving GTA 6.
Firstly, Mr Paul said “GTA 6, the most anticipated and hardware demanding game is now in sight, although still likely a year away” with gamers “lining up to buy components from us to support these GPU cards”.
Also an investor asked if there has been an increase in peripherals or components or will games such as GTA 6 make the second half of 2026 do that. Paul responded by saying “GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we’ll get a glimpse of that, I think, later on in the year for console. My understanding now it’s going to come out in the fall for console, and then early ’26 for PC.”

This comment about early 2026 could be the CEO having misunderstood details about GTA 6 or has heard something from people within the industry. Higher ups to talk with other execs and perhaps, a very small chance at least, something was mentioned. Though it is more likely that it is a simple guesstimate just worded with more confidence.

Last week, another CEO commented on PC ports. Strauss Zelnick who is the CEO of Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two teased a PC release. He said that PC can account for more than 40% of sales for games so they can’t ignore it. Plus, he stated the obvious that Rockstar typically start on console and move to PC later. The CEO last week shut down concerns of AI and violence from GTA VI. The game is still targeting a Fall 2025 release and that helped surge the stock price of Take-Two.
