Rapper Danny Brown has shared how and why he wants to be featured in GTA 6 much like he was in the previous series’ installment. The artist has two key involvements in GTA Online. More recently, he has a logo in a GTA 6 screenshot.
Brown is the host of hip-hop station iFruit Radio in GTA V and GTA Online. This was one of the post-launch music additions joining the game in the 2019 The Diamond Casino Heist update. Naturally, he hopes to return in GTA VI. On top of that he also plays Yung Ancestor who was one of the characters seen in the story missions for that same update.
In a new interview with Variety last week, Brown says “I’ve done a lot of things with GTA. Hopefully they have me back, last time I was a drunk fool.” He went on to discuss how he played a lot of video games when during a time of depression. In present day he reveals he has been sober for two years and wants to “music to make people happy”.
Interestingly the singer/songwriter told Variety creating original soundtracks is more intergreal to video games than licensing from artists. “I know that sounds stupid” Brown said honestly “but I really love when a game really has their own soundtrack”.

Bringing Back Yung Ancestor?
In theory, if Danny was going to be part of GTA VI’s launch selection of radio hosts or is returning as Yung Ancestor he would not be able to say as there would be an NDA. Same goes for if even one off his songs is on a radio station. Brown would not want to leak he is in the game to avoid potential issues working with Rockstar Games again in the future. So perhaps he’s just playing it cool.
That said, Yung Ancestor is confirmed to be in GTA VI in some form at least. Eagle-eyed GTA Wiki user Kamikatsu has posted that on one of the GTA VI screenshots from the Boobie Ike selection features a character wearing a t-shirt featuring a Yung Ancestor logo. You can see the screenshot below.

Following GTA VI Trailer 2, we now have a few confirmed songs for the radio stations in the game. You can check them out here. We previously heard from ScHoolboy Q on Twitter back in February last year that he’ll be in GTA VI with his music.
Plus, rapper/streamer T-Pain also said he has worked on GTA 6 with Rockstar; hence why he can’t play GTA RP server NoPixel anymore. Plus, a leak earlier this year had DJ Khaled set to host his own station within the game at launch.
