The City Of London Police have confirmed on Twitter today that they have arrested a 17 year old boy from Oxford for hacking.
City Of London Police, are the police force responsible for looking after the Financial District called the City Of London and not the capital city itself. They are also responsible for investigating fraud and online breaches to services.
Posting a tweet on twitter, saying they have arrested a 17 year old in Oxfordshire on suspicion of hacking, as part of an investigation with NCA UK.
Lapsus$, the group that is supposedly behind leaking 90 videos of Grand Theft Auto 6 and hacking Uber, is apparently led by a 17 year old boy from Oxfordshire, who was arrested last year for making over ยฃ10million from his hacks.
Matthew Keys, a verified journalist, has said Sources are saying the kid was indeed arrested for the latest data breach with Rockstar Games and possible Uber
Uber, did confirm that local authorities, the FBI and the Department of Justice are all involved in the investigation.
It has also been reported that the Police and the FBI are expected to give a statement later today.

Remember the hacking group known as Lizard Squad? one of the members known as Vinnie Omari has commented about the arrest on Instagram saying the teenager will be alright and he has passed his lawyers details on to him. Vinnie was arrested by City Of London Police for hacking and online attacks got away with it all.
