Rockstar Games have released a fix for a major bug in set of two new background updates for GTA Online. This follows tunable change earlier this week. Rockstar Games have issued these updates in response to a variety of issues included in the new summer update titled GTA Online San Andreas Mercenaries.
We previously reported that Rockstar Support tweeted an acknowledgement of a major glitch in GTA Online. The detrimental glitch to removed your Mors Mutual insurance from vehicles at random. This meant if your vehicle was destroyed, there would be a chance you cannot call up Mors Mutual to claim it and have it returned to your garage.
Thankfully Rockstar Games were swift in their fix and just a day later it appears to have been fixed. Rockstar Support tweeted “The issue resulting in insurance not being correctly applied to vehicles in GTA Online is now resolved. Thank you for your patience.”
However, reliable community insider Tez2 says this fix is “only for the first personal vehicle slot.” He also notes he is “not really sure if the code was supposed to loop through all stored PVs slots.”
Let us know in the comments below if this has fixed the bug if you’ve been impacted.
The background update
Here are the changes made in the first update which happened on June 21st.
- Fixes an issue with “Stunt – Forest” Rockstar Stunt Race props disappearing.
- Fixes an issue with vehicle rewards (Virtue, Armored Paragon R, Weevil) after completing the missions that unlocks them.
- To patch an Auto Shop God Mode glitch, you can no longer view the Phone Job List inside an Auto Shop.
- Patches Casino Penthouse Entrance for both Off the Radar & Give Cars to Friends glitches.
- Patches Sprint Race Car to Car Merge glitch.
- Patches “LSA Operation – Whistleblower” glitch where after raiding the IAA facility, you could go back to the IAA substation to press dpad
right to skip the mission.
Tunable update
On June 20th, Rockstar “Disabled the creator prop whitelist. No more blue fences.” on PC only. Then a day later, Rockstar applied this to all platforms.
These changes are not the only background updates made to GTA Online by Rockstar Games. Last week, we reported on the fixes which Tez shared. You can read more about those tweaks here.

If you save a bmx into a garage slot and then take it out for a ride. If another player blows it up its gone from the garage slot. Which means you have to either buy another bmx or roam the map to find another one. Very annoying.

There are many bugs since this update: performance issues, awards not being unlocked or events counting for them. Cayo Perico guards get alerted by corpses, etc.
