Rockstar Games have made a mistake on their own support website which has led to fans speculating if it confirms GTA 4 is coming to PS5 and PS5 soon. Whether this is an accidental leak by Rockstar or a total mistake, fans have been discussing what it all means.
Recapping Rumours
Normally, people who not think too much about a mistake like this. However, there was a rumour from a reputable Rockstar insider earlier this year that revealed GTA IV is in the works for newer consoles.
Back in May, Rockstar insider Tez claimed he a source at Rockstar hinted a GTA IV was in development. Tez speculated due to the delay of GTA VI, it likely moved up a year to 2025. He also made it clear it would not be a remaster but rather a port similar to how Red Dead Redemption came to PS4, PS5 and Switch in 2023.
Highly popular mod Liberty City Preservation Project was taken down by Rockstar/Take-Two in a slightly unusual fashion this year too. This led to fans speculating the removal was due to a GTA IV port being developed.
Rockstar Messed Up?
Now Reddit users think they’ve found evidence a port does exist. Rockstar had a section on their GTA IV support page for PS4. This is a platform the game is currently not playable on. The PS4 logo was removed a few hours after it gained traction on Reddit. Below is a screenshot of what it looked like.

However, this might be too good to be true for a couple of reasons. Some users on social media have spotted GTA Chinatown Wars has PC as a listed platform on the support site too. The game was only released on Nintendo DS, PSP, iOS and Android. This is clear an error.
Furthermore, other users claim to have spotted the PS4 mention on the GTA IV page around a month ago. If true, it means Rockstar did not realise for some time and have only removed it following this blowing up on social media.
This comes at the same time Rockstar had a section on their Red Dead Redemption 2 support page for “Online migration”. This potentially hints Rockstar will release a next-gen version of RDR2. Once again, that was removed a few hours after it gained traction on Reddit.
