A new way to earn some extra GTA Online money for free and a special livery has just been launched by Rockstar Games. This new promotion ties the current GTA Online Tokyo Drift themed Event Week with the Japanese GTA Online community.
The current Event Week running from February 26th through March 4th is a Drift Week. Rockstar have added a brand new vehicle with drifting capabilities, a manga livery, drift tuning to additional vehicles, Sumo (Remix) returns and more.
Additionally, Rockstar are doing their second Twitch Drop event. Several months ago they continued furthering their partnership with Twitch by offering Drops. These rewards were given out for watching GTA RP streamers. Now fans will be able to earn up to GTA$500,000 via Twitch Drops starting February 26th.
According to the Twitch Drop inventory, you can earn the half a million cash and the Street Samurai Livery simply by tuning into watching Japanese creators on Twitch. They will be streaming a special Community Series. This race series will contain tracks made by top Japanese creators.

Below are the rewards and how long you need to watch the Japanese creators for, You have until Wednesday 4th March at 10:59am GMT to earn these rewards.
- Watch for 1 hour and claim the reward GTA$200K
- Watch for 2 hours and claim the reward GTA$300K
- Watch for 3 hours and claim the reward Street Samurai Livery
Make sure you have connected your Rockstar Games account to your Twitch account. Also, don’t forget to check the stream you are watching is one with Drops Enabled.
This is not the first time Rockstar Games have worked with and supported the Japanese GTA Online community. Back in 2023 following the launch of the San Andreas Mercenaries update, Rockstar offered cash rewards for completing challenges. Some of the biggest Japanese GTA creators took part in this event live streaming the game.
