Rockstar Games have announced the next GTA Online update along with what’s included and screenshots of the DLC. From a familiar face seen in GTA 4 to wildlife and more, this update looks to end GTAO on a high note for 2023. The update is expected to release on December 12th.
It’s not a big update compared to previous years but it has good content it seems nevertheless. Kyle Evans of RockstarINTEL shared earlier this month sources made him aware a that Rockstar Games don’t have any plans for a major December update due to the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6.
A new business and GTA 4 character
Rockstar are adding a brand new business to GTA Online, an illicit Salvage Yard. You’ll be getting involved in “action-packed robberies” for Yusuf Amir from GTA IV The Ballad of Gay Tony. It would be great to hear Omid Djalili reprise his role as Yusef.
Amir’s cousin Jamal will be helping you out to plan and take on car robberies for Red’s Auto Parts. This front will be a business you can buy. It will let salvage parts from your own cars or sell the best back to Yusef.
Drift Races
A new type of race is coming to GTA Online: Drift Races. A new modification for certain cars will be required to enter the Drift Races Series. You can get this new mod from the LS Car Meet.
New features and improvements
Rockstar have revealed a lot of new features and changes coming to GTA Online. However, some will be exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Let’s start by taking a look at the current gen exclusive content coming in this update:
- Wildlife finally comes to Freemode. Across the map you will find animals roaming south San Andreas, something fans have been requesting for years.
- A 100 vehicle garage is coming titled The Vinewood Club Garage. Exclusive to GTA+ members, you can store up 100 vehicles, double the previous maximum of 50 at Eclipse Boulevard.
- The Interaction Menu will gain a new feature that will make managing your garages easier. You’ll be able to quickly move vehicles from one place to another from within the menu.
Here are the features coming to current gen AND last gen (Xbox One and PS4) and PC.
- A newly streamlined Interaction menu for easier navigation
- Increased LS Car Meet Reputation points for competing in Pursuit and Street Races
- A “small birthday gift” on your character’s birthday.
- Console voice chat now defaults to “Off”
- Custom description tags for each floor of the Eclipse Blvd. Garage
- New Specification Service at the LS Car Meet, allowing drivers to now purchase copies of another player’s Personal Vehicle on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
New vehicles
No total amount of vehicles have been confirmed but we know the Grotti Turismo Omaggio will be part of this update along with some liveries for it and other vehicles.
And more…
Rockstar say more is coming to GTA Online this “holiday and beyond”. Some of the content will be new updates to the creator tools, holiday themed modes, improvements to GTA Online, other festive surprises and much more. You’ll also be able to get some limited-timed Rockstar Games 25th Anniversary in-game apparel which we showed here. Expect news from Rockstar Games on this in the coming week ahead of its release.

Seems R* is leaving stunt racing out in the cold in the winter DLC. They could at least give the stunt track creator a user interface and put at least some thought behind that.

GTA v seems like life when it rains occasionally and sometimes it rains more but curious why can’t we have two snow days out of the year that way it would seem more life like.
