Rockstar Games have officially announced another new GTA Online update packed full of content. Even though GTA 6 is several months away from release, Rockstar are not slowing down with GTA Online.
Whilst the A Safehouse in the Hills update last year felt like Rockstar’s swansong to GTA Online, GTA 6 does not come out until November 19th. GTA Online is still racking up hundreds of millions of dollars every year so of course Rockstar want to keep putting out content for the game no matter how close we are to GTA VI.
New DLC Teased
On Thursday, Rockstar Games kicked off a brand new Event Week and in their Newswire article, they teased the future of GTA Online. A lengthy read of economy updates and teases for a new update was found at the bottom of the post.
Rockstar Games say they fans can look forward to an “exciting new update” coming “this summer” to GTA Online. Additionally there will be a “variety of special events and celebrations”.
Practically nothing is known about the this year’s annual summer DLC for GTA Online at the moment. However, based on what happened in the last update with Michael, we expect Mr. Faber will be the antagonist. We should expect more news and info on this upcoming update in the coming weeks and a release mid-June based on the last several summer updates.
More Money, Lower Prices

As for the economy updates, Rockstar are making a number of changes. Firstly, they will be increasing payouts for a number of work types on Thursday 14th May so next week:
Doubled Payouts
- Special Vehicle Work
- Casino Work and Story Missions
- Mobile Operations Missions
50% Increase Payouts
- Bail Office Targets
- A Superyacht Life
- Project Overthrow Missions
Vehicle Price Changes And Tweaks

Rockstar say they are going to be doubling down on players that abuse duplication glitches. Resale values will be limited from next week. Plus, over 30 vehicles will also see a permanent reduction in their price. This includes these three:
- Överflöd Imorgon
- Progen Tyrus
- Brute Police Riot
In contrast, the Mammoth F-160 Raiju fighter jet will be increasing to reflect its features.
