Rockstar Games have announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is now part of GTA+. The long rumoured perk has finally arrived as part of the ever-growing $5 a month package. Back in June we reported GTA San Andreas on mobile got an update which contained GTA+ files. A survey was also sent out to GTA Online in November 2022 asking if they’d like free access to classic Rockstar titles.
New perk for members is finally here
In a Tweet on Thursday, the studio revealed a new perk for GTA Online’s monthly subscription service. Rockstar say GTA+ will feature “a rotating assortment of classic Rockstar Games titles”. The first 3 games to be in rotation are the Definitive Edition versions of GTA III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas.
According to the GTA+ website, GTA+ members will have “Unlimited access for as long as the game is included in GTA+ and you are a GTA+ member.” The game publisher have not provided a date for when the GTA Trilogy will leave GTA+. Given that We’re a week through this month’s GTA+ offering, we can speculate it won’t leave in 3 weeks when a new GTA+ month releases.

It could be around for a couple of months before other classic Rockstar titles replace the 3 games. Once Rockstar communicate when the games leave and what games will replace them officially, we’ll cover it right here at RockstarINTEL. We do wonder what games will feature, Red Dead Redemption? GTA IV? Bully?
If you wish to own the remasters for yourself outside of GTA+, Rockstar are offering a 20% discount for the game on your GTA+ platform. This means you can buy them outright so you’ll still have access when you leave GTA+ or the games leave GTA+’s perks.
