Popular GTA RP server NoPixel is getting close to being officially released on the Rockstar Games Launcher.
Last September, the nopixel team announced that development on the fifth iteration of the GTA RP server was underway. They also mentioned that this version was being built in collaboration with Rockstar themselves. Rockstar later acknowledged they would be supporting the nopixel team dev team on their ambitions.
Furthermore, it was also confirmed that the FiveM-based server would be coming to more PC platforms including the Rockstar Games Launcher. The pair have been extremely quiet since September with no formal news updates. It sounds like that’s all going to change though.
In a new update made to the Rockstar Games Launcher on Monday, NoPixel V has been added as a playable title. It’s only in the backend for now but the work has been done in preparation for it to be formally added to the launcher. This was discovered by GTA community member and data miner Tex2.
Artwork and logo was found by another Twitter user. This gives us our first glimpse at a screengrab from nopixel V plus the logo we briefly saw last year. You can view them below.
Given that it’s now in the backend of the launcher, We should expect an official announcement from Rockstar and the nopixel team very soon. A new era of GTA RP is not too far away.
It will be interesting to see how this is handled. Nopixel requires you to be added to a whitelist to play. An application has to be filled out and it can take several weeks to be given the greenlight. Applicants may not even get a approved. On top of that, approved users have to wait in a queue which could take a long time. Donations are also taken to have your application viewed by staff.
