In GTA Online this week, there’s a rare license plate up for grabs and here’s how to get it. GTA Online’s current Event Week (running from March 14th through 20th) features a Salvage Yard Robbery complete with a super good deal on a cara and unique license plate.
Each week, Rockstar Games rotate the 3 available Salvage Yard Robberies and the vehicles you need to grab. We’ve known for some time now that there is a function in the game to claim the vehicle that is part of a Salvage Yard Robbery.
However, Rockstar Games have not enabled once since December until this week. It’s a pretty good deal as the car mega cheap and the plate on it is exclusive. All of this content comes from the big December update titled The Chop Shop.
Salvage Yard Robberies this week
Whilst one job is unlike the others, here’s a quick list all of the available robberies and the cars featured in them this week:
- The McTony Robbery – Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio
- The Duggan Robbery – Enus Jubilee
- The Gangbanger Robbery – Lampadati Cinquemila
What is the special plate?
As some fans have spotted, several of the vehicles found in the Salvage Yard Robberies feature a Las Venturas design on their license plate. Las Venturas being the GTA universe name for Las Vegas, as seen in GTA San Andreas. This was previously unavailable to be obtained. Until now.
How to get the Las Venturas plate
If you do The McTony Robbery, you’ll be able to claim the car part of that job. This is the first ever car able to be claimed and made your personal vehicle upon completing a robbery since The Chop Shop released.
The McTony car this week is the Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio featuring the Las Venturas plate. It usually costs $1,797,000 from Legendary Motorsport but doing this robbery means you can can make it your personal vehicle for $20,000. This is a significantly reduced fee. You can then sell this car to LS Customs for $65k if you wish to do so.
Plus, there is a way to halve the price even more. If you own a Document Forgery office, you’ll pay just $10,000. The business does not need to be active to unlock the 10k price, just simply purchased.
This is a really good way of receiving the Comet S2 Cabrio if you don’t own one already. On top of that price cut, you also get the car complete with the Las Venturas license plate.
There are some points to keep in mind however. Changing the plate design at any point from the Las Venturas design will make you lose that plate option. It will not be selectable again. Also, the LV plate cannot be put onto other vehicles but you can apply your own text to the plate on the S2 Cabrio.

As part of The Chop Shop update, Rockstar did give players new designs in the form of Sprunk and eCola looks. These were received by all players due to the community completing a Community Challenge.
