GTA Online added a new Weekly Challenge in the Chop Shop update but has only just been enabled. We also have found out the rewards for completing Weekly Challenges in the game.
The Weekly Challenge did not go live alongside the Chop Shop update on Tuesday. Some fans were wondering if Rockstar had forgotten or were waiting for another week. Others assumed it would be turned on during Thursday as that is when the Event Week tunables typically refresh.
As of Thursday morning, Rockstar Games have turned on the Weekly Challenge mechanic providing us our first one and a chance to get rewards.
How to find the Weekly Challenge
Much like Daily Challenges, you can find the Weekly Challenge in your Interaction Menu. This menu got a refresh as part of the Chop Shop update as well with some new features.
To locate the Daily Challenges and Weekly Challenge in your Interaction Menu, simply hold down the Interaction Menu button, scroll down to Challenges, and select it. Under challenges scroll down to the Weekly Challenge and select it. It will then display what the challenge is for that week.
The Weekly Challenge for December 14th through December 20th is Complete all 10 waves of a Survival. Each Thursday alongside the other Event Week tunables, a new Weekly Challenge will be given out to every GTA Online player. The challenge is the same one for all players meaning you can work with your friends and crew to achieve it.
Weekly Challenge Rewards
The reward for completing any Weekly Challenge is always $100,000 GTA cash and 10,000 RP. Gtamen was able to confirm this and shared his completed Weekly Challenge rewards. This is a sizeable bonus to send and level up with in GTA Online.
