The GTA 6 trailer contains several crazy moments and some of them are even closely inspired by real life events.
Rockstar Games are known for satirising America within the world of Grand Theft Auto. This is no different with GTA VI although Florida’s craziness is even too much to be parodied. Some of the more outrageous shots in the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer are basically news stories in real life.
Gator found in family pool
Alligators have been found in a few families pools in Florida but the shot in the GTA 6 trailer looks very close to footage from this real life news story.
Racist comes with hammers
Even though this one is not from Florida (it’s from LA), Rockstar still decided to include. A woman decided to attack her neighbours with verbal and physical abuse. She carried two hammers to smash in the car of her neighbour. We see a woman in the GTA 6 trailer also carry two hammers in the same way.
“Joker” appears in court
A 29-year-old man resembling the Joker was arrested in Florida for waving a gun about. As you can see the resemblance between the man and a shot in GTA 6’s trailer is uncanny. From the Sherriff’s office badge in the background, to the tattoos, dyed hair and orange jail outfit.
Gardner hoses lawn naked
One Florida man caused a disturbance amongst his neighbours in 2018 by doing garden work completely naked. This was also recreated within GTA VI’s trailer. Well, he was covered up to some extent likely to keep the trailer from being age restricted.
Woman twerks on car
In 2017, a woman was filmed twerking on a car in Miami. This was also recreated in some way in the GTA 6 trailer. The mobile phone footage effect also gives it a familiar feeling.
Gator enters shop
It’s another alligator shot! In the GTA 6 trailer, we see CCTV footage of a gator walking into the front door of a shop in Vice City. This was similar to when an alligator turned up at the front door of a Walmart located in Florida.
Police chase naked man running on road
Another non-Florida event was this naked man running from police in Canada. A similar scene can be spotted in the GTA VI trailer even in the same mobile phone footage style.
