A GTA 6 trailer date has been announced by Rockstar Games on their official website and Twitter (currently X). This tells us the date and time the long awaited trailer will arrive along with the first artwork for the game’s branding.
Much like its predecessors, (GTA IV and GTA V), a date is set for a trailer on Rockstar Games’ newly updated website. The countdown ends on Tuesday December 5th at 6am PT, 9ET and 2PM GMT. This is the exact time we get to se the next generation of Grand Theft Auto in the way Rockstar intended.
First artwork and trailer
Rockstar Games’ post calls the trailer “Trailer 1” much like some of their previous games’ first trailers. Also, the image shared in the post has a Vice City sunset colour palette, palm trees and a few birds. This is the vibe they’re going with in their branding.
The final countdown
You can check out the countdown pop up on their website for yourself here. It’s worth bookmarking their website.
Something to note is that both the GTA IV and GTA V trailer countdowns crashed Rockstar’s website causing the trailer not to show up right away for those waiting on the page. Given how GTA 6 is the most anticipated game of all time, we could see a similar story.
The trailer will be set live on Rockstar’s YouTube channel at the same time no doubt.
Rockstar’s time to shine
Last year, 90 videos were leaked by a teen hacker that showed the upcoming game in-development. This early footage contained clips that were a few years old. Placeholders could be spotted along with an evident lack of polish in various areas.
This made people question the quality of GTA 6 and Rockstar’s ability to deliver. It looked unfinished because it was. Community members pushed back at those who doubted the talent of Rockstar’s teams and the fact the age of the videos were being ignored.
We cannot wait to see Rockstar Games’ next grand vision how they have wanted to show us. This trailer is to celebrate 25 years as a company.
