GTA 6 trailer 2 has been released by Rockstar Games days after they delayed the game and confirmed its release date. Last week, the company finally broke their silence on the game after over a year. It now has a release date of May 26th 2026 slipping from Fall 2025. Now we have nearly 3 minutes of new footage taken in-game.
This shadow drop for the trailer also comes after Rockstar did not update any of its marketing text or images with the new 2026 release year. We reported how Rockstar could be waiting until a new trailer releases this week or next week for Take-Two’s financial quarterly reports to investors.
The trailer shows off plenty of new in-game footage with The Pointer Sisters’ song Hot Together playing in the background. Rockstar’s latest trailer focuses on Jason, one of the two playable protagonists. Lucia, his partner and other playable protagonist is also predominantly featured. This trailer certainly builds a better picture of what the story will be about.

The description for the trailer reads:
Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.
There’s also some new artwork to go with it that can be seen at the top of this article. Another interesting note about GTA VI Trailer 2 is some small text at the end of the trailer. It says captured on PS5. This means everything in the trailer was filmed on a PS5. This Grand Theft Auto VI running on PS5 at 4K 30FPS.
