GTA 6 trailer 2 was released by Rockstar Games on Tuesday in a surprise drop. It has now been 24 hours since the company released the video on their social pages including YouTube at 2:29pm BST. We can now take a look at its stats and how it compares to the previous trailer.
Whilst surpassing the multi-world recording breaking trailer 1 was always a tough ask for various reasons, it has given it a good run for its money. Trailer 1 had a confirmed date and time (before it was released early due to a leak) so people were ready and waiting for it. This was also the first time we had see the game in an official capacity. Naturally, excitement would be higher.
In terms of views, Trailer 1 broke the record for the most viewed YouTube video within 24 hours that was not a music video hitting 93 million in total. GTA VI Trailer 2 however got close with 69 million. Quite impressive given the factors mentioned in the previous paragraph.
Likes And Dislikes

As for likes, 8.6 million people gave the first trailer a thumbs up in the first day. Trailer 2 comes in at 4.7 million. The dislikes were far higher on the first trailer as well with over 250,000 compared to the 63,000 on the second trailer. Some people will have disliked just to feel different whereas others, such as Elon Musk for example, are not fans of the game’s violence.
These dislikes are approximate and are not 100% accurate though generally it is considered inline with the real number. The new trailer has received over 416,000 comments compared to Trailer 1 which only just hit 1 million last month.
If you’re looking for more video footage of GTA VI, Rockstar shared several clips including some at 60FPS. You can watch them all here. You can also re-watch the trailer here. What do you think about this trailer? Let us know down in the comments section below.
Next up for GTA VI is to smash some pre-order records. At the moment, you cannot officially pre-order the game but it can be wishlisted on PlayStation. It would not surprise anything if it was the most wishlisted game on the platform.
