GTA 6 is still set to release in Fall 2025 say Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive. During Take-Two Interactive’s Q3 2025 quarterly earnings presentation, CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the success of Rockstar Games’ titles over the past three months. In the previous two quarterly report, GTA 6’s launch window was also still on target for a Fall 2025.
GTA 6 Release Date “Update”
Take-Two Interactive released their release calendar with GTA VI still listed to release in Fall 2025. On one of the slides of a presentation, Take Two say “We forecast that Calendar Year 2025 will be an inflection point for Take-Two-from the groundbreaking release of Grand Theft Auto Vl in the Fall, to the unmatched pipeline that 2K is set to deliver, including Civilization VII on February 11th, Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, and Borderlands 4.”
Talking with Variety, CEO Strauss Zelnick said “We’ve announced a pretty narrow window. So I think our view is that right now, that’s fine. And then when it’s appropriate, of course, Rockstar is going to have more to say.”
He went onto speak with IGN and reiterated GTA VI is coming Fall 2025. His full quote says “Look, there’s always a risk of slippage and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things. So we feel really good about it.”

After that, IGN asked him about the game’s state of development: “I think the game is eagerly anticipated both internally and externally. We know that Rockstar seeks perfection. I never claim success before it occurs. I’m fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we’re all running scared and looking over our shoulders and we know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited.”
