Despite having a confirmed release date, GTA 6 cannot be pre-ordered yet. Many fans have been asking Rockstar Games to open up the floodgates so they can throw money at them for years now. However, Rockstar have opted for a slightly different approach to the usual 2nd trailer with pre-orders opening event.
Following the release of Trailer 2 and launch date confirmation, the game showed up on the PlayStation Store (and later Xbox Store). Despite this, fans could only wishlist it and not actually pre-order it. This is a little unusual as most games that get a release date have pre-orders launched around the same time. It feels like Rockstar and Take-Two, their parent company, want to make use of the pre-orders as a marketing beat this time around.
Earlier this week, some fans noticed the PlayStation Store page listing for GTA VI had been updated with an addition. The ratings and reviews section was now visible. Whilst no one could leave a review, it appearing was enough for some. This caused lots of fans to take to social media and exclaim that pre-orders and a third trailer is coming soon.
However, this was a sitewide change to games which did not previously have a review and ratings system. This squashes any reason to believe this ties in with GTA 6 pre-order’s opening. The ratings and reviews section has since been removed too.
A New Hope

That said, there is a key date which might be of interest. Take-Two Interactive announced on Thursday that their Q2 2026 results will be released on Thursday November 6th. There will be a live phone call with investors taking place at 4:30pm ET on the same day.
If Rockstar and Take-Two want to bump the share price before 2026, this might be the time to do it. For reference, GTA V’s pre-orders went live on Monday November 5th 2012. Could that week be the moment? We will find out in less than a month.
