After several weeks of waiting, fans can wishlist GTA 6 on Xbox Series X|S and take a look at its store page. Just mere hours after GTA VI Trailer 2 released, Rockstar Games set the PlayStation Store listing for the game live allowing for the game to be wishlisted on PS5. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, said that Xbox wishlisting would be available “soon”. It did take 7 weeks but at least it is finally here for those on Xbox.
With update to GTA VI has made Xbox gamers feel like this game is actually real and one step closer to getting in their hands.
On Wednesday morning, Rockstar Games released the GTA 6 Xbox Store page listing. This can be viewed in the store on both Xbox consoles and the website. The store page features the illustrative artwork released alongside the second trailer, screenshots, both trailers and a game description.
How To Wishlist GTA 6 On Xbox

The purchase button on the product listing is greyed out and reads “Not Currently Available” but the other button, the wishlist one, does work. Pressing it adds the game to your Xbox wishlist. It is as simple as that.
How To Install It / Download Size?
There is a download size on the listing of 328.76mb. However, that is purely the placeholder file. This is the usual size for the pre-load/pre-order placeholder file.
You are able to download the 328.76mb file to your console right now via the Xbox app. Visit the game’s store page on the Xbox app and if you have linked your console to the app you’ll have the option to install it. You can see images of it being downloaded and installed to Xbox Series X|S below.

This file remain as it is until pre-loading begins. Then the file will automatically download the full game as soon as pre-loading starts in the days before launch.
Attempting to open the game by pressing the “Play” button will show the Trailer 2 artwork for a brief few seconds before closing the game and giving you a popup. The popup is an error saying “Do you own this game or app?” You’ll have to wait until May 26th to play. You can see the opening and splash screen in action below.
There is no time listed on the store for when the game will go live currently. On the PlayStation store, it states the game will be playable at 12am BST which we reported here.
Pre-orders Soon?
Usually, when a game has a release date confirmed, pre-orders will open on the digital console stores. But that is not the case with GTA VI. It is down to the publisher of the game afterall to turn it on. Given we are still around a year, it makes sense.
There will still be some marketing to come, perhaps in the form of a third trailer, over the course of the next 12 months. They will want to make a big splash with pre-orders. Perhaps we’ll see something on this near the end of the year.
