Is a new GTA 6 trailer releasing in a few days? Based on a very strange post by Rockstar Games and several other factors that line up, fans are convinced the second trailer for GTA 6 is coming this Christmas.
The post that Rockstar made which is quite unusual involves the new Willard Outreach Faction police car. This vehicle was just added to GTA Online this week. In typical Rockstar Games social fashion, they’ve been posting images of what is happening in this Event Week. That’s all normal until you look at differences between the images posted on various platforms.
On their newswire blog post and Twitter, the image they use of it shows the new car’s license plate. However, the same image shared by Rockstar on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook have a black scribble over the license plate. This is very, very peculiar behaviour from Rockstar.
If this was a mistake, it would most likely had been caught given how well their community team operates. Nothing slips through. Why would they cover up the plate? Well, the plate reads 6DW31980. If you calculate 6 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 0 = 27. D is also the 4th letter in the alphabet and W is the 23rd. Add them together you get 27, again.
Next up, Rockstar now have 27 total public posts on their Instagram account. Furthermore, Rockstar Games were founded in New York City on December 27th 1998. Last year we got the trailer as part of the company’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
The GTA community are now convinced that Rockstar Games will release GTA VI Trailer 2 on December 27th 2024. That said, Rockstar Games could totally be trolling the community and playing into the speculation.
It just keeps going…
More elaborate 27 connections were also found by fans. In the first GTA VI trailer at 27 seconds in, you can see a car with 27 text in the window. Plus, Rockstar Games have 20.7 million followers on Twitter right now. Oh and on the anniversary of the first trailer, they posted an image with a Helicopter featuring the number 27th on the side.
There’s also some 27 connections from a Rockstar Games employee’s Tweet from Thursday which are too crazy to get into as it has made some “fans” take some unacceptable measures. Several Rockstar Games developers working on next Grand Theft Auto VI Tweeted pictures of their yearly gift bag from the company featuring a GTA 6 themed sweater.
