The Xbox Series X was given into the hands of many huge media outlets across the world & they have finally shared their impressions on Microsoft’s upcoming next-gen system set to launch this November. Finally this afternoon Microsoft lifted the embargo after almost an entire week of letting the media test out the new hardware and give their own thoughts on it.

Rockstar’s 2008 Grand Theft Auto IV title gets new substantial improvements with Microsoft’s Xbox Series X with improved frame-rate and even HDR for the first time.

The folks over at Digital Foundry have spent a week testing a bunch of titles part of the backwards compatibility program on the Series X hardware. Richard Leadbetter revealed GTA IV ran complete locked 60 frames per second without a single frame-drop anywhere to be seen from his analysis video. Richard also reveals the game takes advantage of the new auto-HDR technology as well.

Considering how GTA IV is a very demanding title on PC, it’s really impressive the Series X has been able to achieve this result. You can also enjoy the game with no screen-tearing too. We’ve linked the video below for the full analysis from Digital Foundry.

Rockstar’s wild-west title Red Dead Redemption 2 also sees a big improvement from less loading time on the Series X.

Austin Evans, a popular content creator for technology gave Red Dead Redemption 2 a little test run in his impression preview to see how the loading times perform with the super-fast SSD equipped with the console. Austin reveals in his video the console took little as 37 seconds to load into the game while the Xbox One X took over 1 minute and 37 seconds.

GTA IV was only demanding on PCs because it was an utter terrible port not because of graphics or anything else. It should come to NO surprise that GTA IV runs at 60 on a new system, its been out for over 10 years!
