3 Games Based on Crime Series (or Films!)

Crime series include things that video and online games also need – action, narrative, and excitement. Games need these same things as crime series to keep players engaged and maintain that engagement for a long duration. A crime series usually has this in abundance, as well as a strong and intricate narrative which keeps the viewer guessing and glued to the screen.

The similarities between gaming and crime series may not be evident at first thought, but there is no denying how both can be successful with the same qualities. Then, it is no surprise that some games have been based on our favourite crime shows. Learn about the best crime show games right here

    1 – Narcos

Narcos is one of the best cartel series available anyway, but it can be found on Netflix. The show tells the story of famous drug dealers and gangsters who have made it rich through their illegal trades. But the show dives further than any other cartel show by trying to bring viewers real events from the past. Now you can play a NetEnt’s Narcos slot game that matches the action from the show!

Narcos slot game is set in a likewise Columbian city with Latina music and typical symbols associated with the show. Combining authentic visuals with typical Narcos themes makes this slot just as exciting as watching the series.

    2 – The Godfather

An all-time classic, The GodFather is one of those crime screenings that still holds its own as the generations after it sprouts up. It is one of the best creations in cinematic history, and although not exactly a crime series, it is worth a mention after it was also transformed into a game

The best part of the video game is that the creators did not stray away from the film and its flagship moments. Expect your character to be responsible for some of the tasks seen in the film and expect it to live up to your expectations!

    3 – Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks is a classic crime series where a special agent has to undercover the murder of the school’s homecoming queen. Although there is not precisely a Twin peaks video game or slot game, there is a game which appears to have been heavily influenced by the crime series.

It goes by the name of Dead Premonition. Players will have to take control of an FBI agent who is sent to a sleepy USA town to solve a murder. Sound familiar at all? Even though this game was released a decade ago, it’s still a fantastic crime video game.

    Crime Games Live On!

The three games above come from three different periods of TV and gaming. It just goes to show the longevity and lasting relationship between crime TV and video or slot gaming! One day some of the best Video crime games like GTA will be developed into series as well!

Which one will you play first?
