The ability to remote crash GTA Online players PC’s has been added to a mod menu. This comes after a severe exploit was being used to target PC players and Rockstar Games had to disabled two major features of GTA Online.
According to Rockstar insider Tez2, a remote crash feature was just added to a P2C menu people can purchase to attack the PC version of GTA Online. Like previous exploits, this only can occur in public lobbies.
If you are inside of a mission or play in an invite only session for example, you will be fine. Do remain vigilant and play in non-public lobbies until Rockstar have released a fix for the exploit.
Tez believes this will be patched with the release of the upcoming Bottom Dollar Bounties update. Exploits like this require downloadable patches rather than server side updates. Thankfully, this summer’s big GTA Online update is only days away. It will release on June 25th.
It was just last week that Rockstar Games had to disable the ability to start planning The Diamond Casino Heist and purchases of Arcade properties in GTA Online. This of course upset some GTA Online players on PC. This issue is so severe, Rockstar Games had to post on their support site which explained the situation.
For almost a decade now, they’ve been plagued with cheaters, hackers, and more issues. As always, if you need any help, be sure to contact Rockstar Support.
All of this is PC only so players on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 will be able to plan The Diamond Casino Heist, purchase Arcades and are not vulnerable to any exploit.
