Watch New GTA 6 Gameplay Running At 60FPS

With the release of GTA 6 trailer 2, Rockstar Games shared several more in-game videos on their official website. These clips focus on a few locations and key characters and some are even of the game running at 60FPS. More on that after the videos below…

Rockstar made a dedicated webpage to GTA VI and it looks and works very well. As you scroll the page, screenshots will fly in, info will be overlayed and videos will play in tune with your scrolling. It all feels very fluid and high quality. We’ve already uploaded the screenshots, details and artwork for easy viewing on our site.

However, the most difficult thing to view properly are the videos. They only play when scrolling on Rockstar’s website which works when viewing for the first time but fans will want to analyse every frame possible without using the webpage. Some are available to download easily on Rockstar’s website but not all of them.

That’s where we come in. The videos on the webpage were a little challenging to extract than the images but you are able to watch them below completely uninterrupted. Enjoy!

Whilst most of these videos are just a second long, they are all not seen in the second trailer. They all have something to offer with plenty going on to breakdown and discuss for the weeks and months ahead. All of these videos are credited to Rockstar Games and are from their own website.

    GTA 6 Running At 60FPS

Going back to the 60FPS part, you will notice a few of them are indeed 60FPS videos. The game is running at 60 frames per second in those clips and we’ve labeled which ones are above. So what does this mean? Will GTA VI be running at 60FPS at launch? The short answer is probably not and we’ll explain why.

The clips you’re seeing on screen might not be running on console. The both trailers for the game were running at 4K 30FPS. The second trailer clearly states it is being captured on PS5. Most of, if not all of the shots in the trailer are likely from cutscenes. Meanwhile the clips found above are not and are captured with tools available to the developers. Some of the shots just are not what you see in-game.

As we’ve known for quite some time now, the issue is not with the console’s GPUs but rather CPUs. Reducing resolution is not enough in this equation even for the PS5 Pro due to the lackluster CPU improvement.

Why did Rockstar use 60FPS clips here? Likely to make the user experience nice and smooth on their website. For example, the two clips of Jason and Lucia on their own are both 30FPS and these look and feel noticeably choppier when scrolling the website compared to the others. The 60FPS clips are just much nicer to scroll on and replay going up and down.

What do you think about these new clips? Let us know down in the comments section below.

Not 1 second of actual gameplay in those 1 second videos , and this is running on a pc, so won’t look anywhere near as good or smooth when released on consoles. Best wait until the next consoles are out and play the remastered ‘definitive edition’.

Yeah I’m not giving greedy Rockstar my money for this. I wouldn’t be surprised if there just isn’t any gameplay to show. All they have done on the game is a trash cinematic and those screenshots.

Not really whare you come in!
Once you manually scroll the animated images right through then a replay button pops up at the bottom right corner you press and it plays the moving screenshots this way! Anyone can do it!

I am not paying full price for GTA6 on current gen at 30fps. GTA5 enhanced runs 60fps. I’m not taking a step backwards. Ill buy it used off marketplace or ebay so R☆ isn’t getting my money directly.
