Tonight, Take-Two Interactive are set to do their conference call for Q4 2022, to brag how much money they have made from Rockstar Games and 2K Games titles in the last 3 months, GTAV has sold a huge amount again and Red Dead Redemption 2 has done alright.
Grand Theft Auto V // Online
Take-Two Interactive revealed that Grand Theft Auto V sold another 5 Million Copies in the last 3 Months, taking the total sales worldwide at over 165 Million Copies. Grand Theft Auto V normally sells an average of 5 Million every Month. With GTAV PS5/Xbox Series releasing and being free on PlayStation 5, we can assume the game has undersold for Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive.
The Grand Theft Auto Series has now sold 375 Million copies across the globe. Up another 5 Million copies.
Take-Two believe Microtransactions for GTA Online will be down this year compared to last year.
Take-Two didn’t say much about GTA+, but did state that the subscription is selling above expectations
Red Dead Redemption 2 // Red Dead Online
Red Dead Redemption 2 sold an extra 1 Million copies in the last 3 Months, selling 3 Million less than 3 Months before. Red Dead Redemption 2 has now sold over 44 Million copies worldwide. The Red Dead Series has now sold over 66 Million copies.
Strauss Zelnick also acknowledged the #SaveredDeadOnline movement, saying he understands peoples frustrations and that more will be said by Rockstar Games in due time, also letting the community know that Rockstar Games are very busy and working on an awful lot at the moment
Take-Two Interactive believe microtransaction spending in Red Dead Online will be down this year compared to last year.
GTA Trilogy The definitive Edition
GTA Trilogy didn’t even sell 1 Million copies in the last 3 months, this is probably mainly down due to the awful launch it had and how Rockstar Games and Grove Street Games have still failed to fix it all.
GTA Trilogy for Mobile has been delayed until fiscal year 2023. Meaning it will release between now and March 2023. We assume this is to make sure they have no issues the console editions suffered at launch.
