Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, said in a interview with CNBC that the GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition had a glitch in the beginning and it has been resolved.
If we all go back to November 2021 when the Trilogy was released which included remastered versions of Vice City, GTA III and San Andreas, they released in a right state, the games were unplayable with the bugs in the games, it was that bad that Rockstar Games had to publicly apologise, which is rare considering Rockstar dont communicate with anyone, the Trilogy also got removed off of PC and refunds were offered due to how broken it was and they had to bring the original versions back to PC for players to enjoy as an apology, offering them for free.
Strauss has said the games weren’t new games but pre existing games remastered, which he is correct but then went on to say that there was a glitch in the beginning that has now been resolved and the games are doing great for the company.
ZELNICK: Unquestionably we expect our earnings to be less episodic. This will give us a larger, more diversified financial and creative footprint. And we think thatβll benefit shareholders. And with regards to the GTA trilogy, that was actually not a new title. That was a remaster of preexisting titles. We did have a glitch in the beginning, that glitch was resolved. And the title of has done just great for the company. So weβre very excited.
Well someone needs to tell Strauss, but the games weren’t glitched, they were rushed out for the Christmas period and the games still haven’t been fixed properly, it seems Rockstar Games and Grove Street Games have abandoned them at this point. Just like they seem to abandon everything that isn’t GTA Online related
