36 Million games were sold in the U.K during 2021 along with 3.4 Million consoles according to gamesindustry. Grand Theft Auto V unsurprisingly once again made the charts.
Grand Theft Auto V was the 3rd best selling game in the U.K. (these sales include digital and physical) in 2021, but sales were down by 23%. This is still incredible considering the game is coming up to its 9th year anniversary. Its also unsurprising due to 2020 having an extra week in the year and the majority of the UK being on furlough and purchasing games to pass time.
Red Dead Redemption 2 also made the charts, becoming the 6th best selling game in 2021 and sales being down just 5% compared to 2020.
Of course as everyone expects, FIFA 22 was the best selling game and Call Of Duty Vanguard came second.
Grand Theft Auto V was the 10th best selling physical game whilst Red Dead Redemption 2 didn’t make the list. GTAV was also the second best selling digital game.
