Rockstar Games and the nopixel team are launching the next iteration of the highly popular server this month and have revealed a ton of new details. There’s even in-game rewards for all GTA Online players. It is incredible to see Rockstar working alongside community members to bring mods to GTA Online in an official capacity
Rockstar Games have published a newswire post expressing their support for nopixel. The server will be accessible within the Rockstar Games Launcher from September 8th via a closed beta. Nearly 500 people have been invited.
The company says the 5.0 version comes with refreshed visuals, new ways to make a living plus and smarter, more reactive pedestrians. The character customization system has been reworked to give roleplayers more ways than ever to create characters as unique as their backstories. Los Santos has also been given a facelift with the brand new Pixel Hotel & Casino to a six-block revamp of Cypress Flats. It is insane to see the Mile High Club completed on Rockstar’s website as per the image below:
“nopixel have continually pushed the boundaries of GTA Roleplay through character immersion, modifications to the GTAV map, and a creative community of dedicated storytellers — with the official announcement of the nopixel V closed beta arriving on September 8 where invited players will access the experience through the Rockstar Games Launcher.”
GTA Online Unlocks
As part of the nopixel V roll out, Rockstar are giving away some goodies in the vanilla version of GTA Online for all console and PC players. Watching your favourite GTA Roleplay streamers play nopixel V on Twitch can earn you GTA$1,500,000 and Burger Shot Tracksuit. These go live on September 8th through 30th.
Looking Ahead
Rockstar end the newswire post by saying they there will be announcements on improvements like a new PC in-game overlay, upcoming events, and expanded access to nopixel V’s world of GTA Roleplay. In regards to the in-game overlay, Tex2 suggests this is “likely” going to reintroduce text chat into GTA Online and other titles.
