Update – 14th October – 2 days after this article was posted, Take-Two interactive have confirmed the acquisition
Rockstar Games has recently purchased Ruffian Games, the studio behind the development of Crackdown 2, Halo The Master Chief Collection, and many other games.
Ruffian Games has been rebranded by Rockstar Games as Rockstar Dundee, obviously because they are based in Dundee, Scotland.
Ruffian Games have been working with Rockstar Games on some projects over the past year and have recruited many new people before the acquisition. These projects are either port of existing games or a brand new game under the Rockstar umbrella.
Rockstar Dundee is now the 11th studio still present under the Rockstar branding.
