It seems like Rockstar Games are gearing up to release the next-gen feature set update/release to GTA Online for PC. That’s according to a new survey the company distributed to select players of GTA Online.
We learned late last year from Rockstar that they would finally be bringing the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S content to PC in “the new year”. The first month of the new year has passed without any news from Rockstar so fans have been left wondering when it will arrive.
Last night, Rockstar Games enthusiast mnm345 shared on Twitter an interesting question Rockstar Games asked in a survey. This survey had just been sent him and others. In case you aren’t aware, Rockstar periodically sends out feedback surveys in emails to a small number of players. These help Rockstar gain useful feedback and detailed insights. Sometimes they reveal plans they have in store before they deliver them publicly. For example, we reported on one that was sent out in August last year.
How To Get A Survey
When a new survey does the rounds in the GTA Online community (especially ones that pay), many fans ask how they can get to do a survey like this. You can’t do anything to boost your chances unfortunately. Some players who have played since launch have never received one for example. There are hundreds of millions of GTA Online players and they don’t need to get feedback from a huge pool of gamers. Better luck next time!
Next-Gen GTA V Coming To PC Very Soon?
Going back to the most recent survey, mnm345 said that when asked what his primary platform was for GTA Online he answered PC. He later on got this question: “How likely would you be to subscribe to GTA+ in the next 3 months if it were available on your primary platform?”
Given GTA+ will most likely never come to last gen due to all of the content that makes use of next-gen hardware, this suggests Rockstar means PC. They also list a time frame of “in the next 3 months“.
This also could mean Rockstar are going to launch the upgraded version of GTA Online for PC in March or April of this year so not a long wait. This is also the same time frame Rockstar Games insider Tez2 thought it would release. If that is the case, we should hear something official from Rockstar fairly soon.
