Believe it or not, Rockstar Games have communicated with the community for once, and it doesn’t involve a Cease and Desist.
In a rare statement, Rockstar Games have said they acknowledge the issues that have come with the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition and want to sincerely apologize to everyone who has encountered issues.
Rockstar also stated that the games did not release in a state that meets their standards of quality, the quality Rockstar fans expect off of them. New title updates will also be released over the next few days to fix most of the issues.
Rockstar have also made the original Trilogy games, GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas available again on PC, anyone who has purchased the Trilogy Definitive Edition or plans to purchase it can claim the originals for free, the catch, they’re only available on the Rockstar Games Launcher. You have until June 30th, 2022 to claim this offer.
Finally, Rockstar Games have pointed out that certain ‘fans’ have been harassing and threatening staff over social media due to the issues with the Trilogy. If you are one of these people then stop immediately, you are no fan or supporter of Rockstar for doing this and the devs are not to blame.
