Red Dead Redemption on PC is finally happening over 14 years after it originally released. After many months of leaks by Rockstar Games and others, Rockstar have confirmed Red Dead Redemption’s PC version in a newswire post on Tuesday. It also came along with many details such as its release date and screenshots.
“For the first time in its storied legacy, John Marston’s beloved journey can be experienced on PC in stunning, new detail” says the studio in their blog post. This was followed up by the fact that Undead Nightmare would also be part of the package on PC. Just in time for Halloween. They also showed the game running on PC at 4K 60FPS in a trailer.
Rockstar are working with Double Eleven to bring this game to PC gamers. Double Eleven previously worked with Rockstar on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of Red Dead Redemption last year. They were decent ports and we hope the PC version also gets plenty of love. That brings us onto confirmed features.
Red Dead PC Features Revealed

The game will run at up to 4K resolution and 144FPS if you have supported hardware to run the game at such quality and performance. Previously, Red Dead Redemption was stuck at 30FPS until a 60FPS patch for the PS4 version running on PS5 came out last year. This is one of the main things fans have been waiting over a decade for.
Graphics settings such as draw distance, shadow quality and more can be changed. Red Dead Redemption on PC will also support aspect ratios such as Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9). There will also be HDR10 support if you have a compatible display. Fans can opt to use a keyboard and mouse over controller if they wish to do so.
In a rarity for a Rockstar Games title, NVIDIA’s DLSS upscaling technology will be part of this game. It will ship with DLSS 3.7 and AMD’s FSR 3.0. Red Dead Redemption has DLSS 2.0 and FSR 2.0 for comparison.

Red Dead Redemption will release for PC on Tuesday 29th October. It will be available on various storefronts: the Rockstar Store for Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
