A rare glimpse into the behind the scenes of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been revealed by a fan. An audio clip accidently left in the game’s files by Rockstar Games has remained hidden for 5 years and no one has noticed until now. Not only was a blooper from a voice actor found raw voice lines which exhibit the creeks of a floor and more.
All spotted by YouTube channel Red Dead Redemption Stories, the audio blooper clip is of Arthur Morgan (Roger Clark) and Dutch Van der Linde (Benjamin Davis) talking about rescuing Micah. Davis messes up his line and precedes to curse and apologise.
“I can’t… I cannot go to a Sheriff’s station ah f*ck me, sorry. *chuckle, clears throat*“
Benjamin Davis as Dutch Van der Linde
This funny clip is a rare chance to hear an actor in a Rockstar Games recording session out of character. We don’t get to see even a tiny peek behind the curtain at Rockstar Games officially these days. The L.A. Noire blooper reel is always a great watch. Since being discovered, this simple Red Dead audio file has brought joy to Red Dead and Rockstar fans alike.
Another fun audio recording found by Red Dead Redemption Stories is that of Arthur talking to Dutch and Molly. It’s a different take to the one Rockstar went with in the final game and you can clearly hear background noise of the actors moving around.
The sounds include a floor creaking and clothes possibly worn over their performance capture suits. There’s also more of an echo to the recording and it is not how it sounds in-game. You can listen to the full video here.
