New Mod Seamlessly Adds Liberty City to GTA V

Modder team World Travel has ended the year with a bang, releasing the Liberty City Preservation Project for GTA V. The mod brings GTA IV’s Liberty City back to life, complete with NPCs, vehicles, and sound effects from the original game. Fans have praised it as one of the best recreations yet, with some even calling it a ‘remaster.’

Features

The mod features a fully, authentic recreation of Liberty City. It’s one of the most ambitious mods yet, with a fully functioning subway system, authentic police and ambient traffic. Rockstar community member @Videotechuk_ praised the mod for how polished and faithful it feels.

Not only that, the mod also includes a fully functional map and radar, including icons for weapon stores and Grotti showrooms.

The mod even features authentic radio stations, vehicles and street NPC’s, all ready to give you a nostalgia trip. But it doesn’t stop there, the mod also features an HD texture pack, enhancing the look and technology of Liberty City in GTA V, while that engine has also counted its days since 2013, it’s still an improvement upon GTA IV’s engine, which is over 16 years old now. How To Download

The mod is available for use in FiveM and singe-player, giving you the option between downloading the HD texture pack (30GB) or standard (11GB), most likely depending on how good your PC hardware is.

Even if the wait for GTA 6 has been painful, this may keep you busy until then, as I am sure it will be many players first experience with Liberty City, which stands on its own. The Liberty City Preservation Project is available to download for free through the World Travel discord server.
