New Franklin concept art
First brought to our attention by @InfinityBesk on Twitter, Anthony Macbain has posted on his Instagram 6 new pieces of concept art. Two of Franklin and 4 of Trevor. Below you can see Franklin in a coat and suit.
New Trevor concept art
Trevor’s 4 pieces show in different outfits including one with police crime scene tape around this head. This was not part of GTA V’s singleplayer but did show up in GTA Online as a mask albeit with some minor tweaks.
New GTA V location concept art also revealed
Roxie Vizcarra who was also behind some of the GTA V art posted a 10 year anniversary post for the game showing her personal favourite piece. It never released previously had been shown off except for a small portion a while back but it is great art to see in full.
About the artists
Anthony is best known for creating the GTA V cover art and promotional artwork we all know and love with fellow artist Roxie Vizcarra. During his time at Rockstar Games, Macbain also crafted the artwork for Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption (and Undead Nightmare), and Bully. They jumped from staff artists all the way to become Director of Illustration and Lead Senior Artist.
Their work is not limited to concept art or marketing materials; they directed the art on several cartoons found in-game. Roxie left Rockstar in 2019 following her completion of Red Dead Redemption 2’s incredible look. The pair’s recent work has been the fantastic Apex Legends seasonal artwork.
